Swedish Exergy AB to deliver Exergy Superheated Steam Dryer to Agricultura y Conservas S.A in Spain for reducing agricultural waste.
Gothenburg, September 3rd, 2020 – Swedish Exergy AB proudly announces a new partnership with Agricultura y Conservas S.A. This collaboration is representing a major leap forward in agricultural waste management. In other words, Agricultura y Conservas S.A. has secured a contract for the Exergy Superheated Steam Dryer, a cutting-edge technology. The project is set to transform citrus peel, previously seen as waste, into valuable animal feed.
The project, scheduled to unfold over the next year, will see the delivery of the Exergy Superheated Steam Dryer set for July 2021. Thereby initiating an an innovative project that will shift citrus peel from a financial burden to a profitable. By employing the Exergy Superheated Steam Dryer, Agricultura y Conservas S.A. will enhance the value of citrus peel. And in addition, the technology will also significantly improve energy efficiency. The Exergy Superheated Steam Dryer is engineered to recover up to 95% of the energy used in the drying process. This high recovery rate optimizes efficiency, reducing both energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
We will repurpose the recovered energy as process steam for evaporators, which eliminates the need for external energy sources. This approach reinforces our commitment to sustainability.
